Since living away from Japan I have struggled a lot with the more dominant system of western linguistic communication.By living western countries I was able to recognize my own influences related to my culture and background. I recognize that it is these cultural tools that I use now for my own self expression and protection and even as forms of communication. It is this background that has brought me to making Jewelry, or mobile objects, as portable, communication tools.
